I performed a seasonal comparison of UAS-lidar derived elevation in R to map permafrost thaw outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. The above visualization shows the May point cloud. 

Using satellite imagery and field data, I wrote a python workflow to study the relationship between vegetation change and permafrost thermal state for a watershed on the Seward Peninsula, Alaska.

Using open source data and software, I studied wildfire potential at the wildland-urban-interface in the Sun Valley community of Reno, Nevada. Modeled wildfire from FARSITE software shown above.

I created pre-attack maps for a Northern California CalFire unit that laid out roads, planning boundaries, and relevant infrastructure.
